If you need air-conditioning, power steering, carpeted floors, or park-assist, you’re in the wrong place. Our Perenties are basic by design, and that’s exactly why they’re so reliable. Modern 4WDs are packed with electronics that fail when water, dust, or mud gets into the wrong place. With a Perentie, there are no fragile computers to stop you from steering, shifting gears, or starting your engine. These 4×4 Vehicles are built tough to handle Australia’s harshest tracks, giving you total confidence on every adventure.
Instead, you get what matters: strength, simplicity, and the confidence that these vehicles will get you there… and back again.
3-Seater Perentie: Best described as a 2-person vehicle with capacity for a third passenger.
5-Seater Perentie (Private Hire Only): Includes two rear-facing back seats plus three front seats (same layout as the 3-seater).
Please note: There are no child seat restraints, so our vehicles can only carry children 4 years and older, seated in an approved booster seat or child seat in booster mode.
While these vehicles may look tough and stripped-back, don’t be fooled, they’re surprisingly comfortable on both the highway and rugged dirt tracks. You’ll enjoy a smooth drive, simple controls, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’re in a proven military-grade 4WD.
From the Old Telegraph Track in Cape York to the towering dunes of the Simpson Desert, the remote Canning Stock Route, and the rugged gorges of the Kimberley, our Perenties are built to take you there and back again. And if that’s not enough, they’re ready for any legal Aussie road or track you want to tackle.
These vehicles were designed for adventure, stripped of unnecessary frills and fitted out with everything you need to face the toughest terrain with confidence. With a No Limits Perentie, you’ll be more than ready to take on your next journey.

On our Cape York tours, your guide will be behind the wheel of either Shelly or Red. These Perenties look just like the rest of the fleet but carry some serious extras.
Extra battery system powering a large Engel fridge and freezer for food storage.
Towing a heavy-duty trailer stocked with spare parts, cooking gear, camp ovens, and fresh supplies.
The trailer also doubles as a mobile kitchen with its own fold-out bench and stovetop for meal prep.
Despite towing extra weight, these rigs are still more than capable of taking on Cape York’s notorious tracks, crossings, and challenges.
For all tours outside of the Cape, our legendary 6-wheel Perentie, Nugget, leads the way. Built for the long haul, this beast is fitted with:
A massive 900L spare diesel tank, perfect for remote routes like the Canning Stock Route.
All the gear normally carried in the Cape trailer, but cleverly packed into Nugget’s extended body.
A custom kitchen setup with fold-out benches and stove tops for cooking on the go.
Nugget is proof that even fully loaded, these machines are unstoppable. Whether it’s the endless dunes of the Simpson, the isolation of the Canning, or the rugged Kimberley, Nugget gets the job done.
