We depart Darwin at approximately 0800hrs for Kakadu National Park where we will take a cultural tour on the East Alligator River.
We will watch the crocs at the infamous Cahills Crossing and if time permits try and land a Barramundi.
We will then visit the Ubirr Rock Art Site https://parksaustralia.gov.au/kakadu/do/rock-art/ubirr/
We depart Pine Creek and stop for a swim and morning tea at Edith Falls, before continuing into Katherine. Here we will have a dip in the relaxing waters of the Katherine Hot Springs.
Today is a long drive from Mainour to Nhulunbuy. We will be treated to some amazing scenery and abundant wildlife including birds, reptiles, water buffalo, and donkey.
Enjoy two itinerary-free days in Nhulunbuy. Spend your time exploring the Gove Peninsula, joining a fishing charter, discovering the local beaches, or simply relaxing by the hotel pool.
Today we have a relatively short drive to Mataranka Thermal Pools. Here you will be able to soak in the crystal clear and croc free, thermal springs.
We continue along the Savannah Way to Borroloola and onto camp at Hells Gate.
There’s no need to pack up today. You can choose to take a canoe up the gorge or tackle the many walking tracks and enjoy a dip the crystal clear waters.
After leaving Burketown we stop at the beautiful Leichardt Falls for morning tea. Lunch will be at the most northerly camp of the ill-fated journey of Burke and Wills. After lunch we pass through Normanton, the home of Krys the croc, a life size replica of an 8.63m crocodile killed in 1957. Tonight’s camp is in Karumba where we will be able to enjoy a beautiful sunset of the Gulf of Carpentaria.
We start today, our final day with a Tour of the amazing Undara Lava Tubes. We depart Undara at approximately 10am for our journey home. But don’t worry the fun is not over yet! we will stop for a break at the Innot Hot Springs and also Milllaa Millaa Waterfall before arriving in Cairns.
Today we venture through Kakadu seeing numerous cultural and natural wonders of the World Heritage area. We undertake a Yellow Waters Billabong cruise before travelling to Pine Creek for the night. Whilst on our boat cruise we will see numerous crocodiles, water buffalo, Jabiru, Brolgas, Magpie Geese and more.
We depart Katherine and drive along the Central Arnhem Hwy to Mainoru Store on the edge of Arnhem Land.
Today we will visit the the Buku-Larrnggay Mulka Centre https://yirrkala.com/ and some spectacular beaches and recreational areas around Nhulunbuy.
We depart Nhulunbuy and return to the Mainoru Store.
We travel the Savannah Way into Limmen NP for camp at the beautiful Butterfly Falls.
Today we arrive at the stunningly beautiful Boodjamulla/Lawn Hill Gorge. We are here for two nights so we can put our feet up and make the most of the idyllic surroundings.
Tonight, we camp on the banks of the Albert River on the outskirts of Burketown.
After leaving Karumba we stop for a fish on the banks of the Norman River for our last chance of landing the elusive Barramundi. Today we head for Undara Experience https://www.undara.com.au/. We will be undertaking a tour in the morning so we have the evening to explore the surrounds, have a drink in the amazing railway carriage bar/restaurant area or cool down in the pool.

Snacks and drinks (Alcohol is welcome, however there may be restrictions on what and how much can be taken into Indigenous communities, please discuss with your tour leader)
Camera, binoculars, torch/headlamp, and any extra fishing gear

Arnhem Land covers about 97,000 square kilometres. That’s larger than the country of Hungary (which is around 93,000 km²), yet its population is only around 16,000, mostly Indigenous people living on traditional homelands.
