The Canning Stock Route stretches roughly 1,850 km and is one of the longest historic stock routes in the world. Dotted along its length are 51 hand-dug wells, each built about a day’s walk apart to water cattle during the original droving days — many of which still stand today as reminders of the route’s incredible history.
